Internet Marketing Strategies (Traffic Generation Techniques): ARTICLE Marketing Part TWO
How effective is your Article Marketing? Are you able to write Articles as it should be? Are you receiving the desired results from Article Marketing?
People do start writing Articles but are still not receiving expected results and hence traffic to their website. If you are one of those who would like to gain more from your Article writing efforts then this one is for you.
In this Article Marketing Part TWO, I will show you how to structure an Article and some tips that will boost your results. This Article will enable you to achieve better results purely by taking care of few points within the same Articles.
How to structure your Article content?
Article writing is an art but you can definitely develop the skills to write good articles. This is one of the key elements of a successful Article. One of the ways is to be very systematic and structure your article as follows
1. In the first paragraph of your Article you need to step into the shoes of your readers and connect with their fears, frustration or problem i.e. talk about the issue of your reader.
Eg. If you are writing an article about weight loss then start the Article by asking a question like “Are you struggling with weight loss?” or something similar.
2. In the next paragraph you start to offer them a plan of action.
Eg: “Its proven that 95% of diets simply don’t work, but don’t lose hope as I will be showing you a 3 step plan that will help you lose weight steadily without working your butt out!”
3. Provide valuable information or tips
Eg: “The 3 step weight loss plan is …..”
4. Important: Clearly mention a Call-To-Action, this is something you ask the reader to do after they have read your article.
Eg: Sign-up for your monthly newsletter on diet planning/weight management on your blog, or read more about a product that you offer, etc.
Article Marketing Tips
1. Articles should be regarding a certain facet of your niche and should be around 500 words. Don’t produce very long Articles.
2. Many Article Directories provide you with a resource box similar to the signature area feature offered in forums and also enable you to fill in your Profile or Bio in detail.
3. Use your full name as the author of the Article and as Username when you sign-up to Article Directories. This helps create your personal brand on the internet.
4. Clearly mention your USP (unique selling point), either something about the product you offer (if you have your own product or promoting one as an affiliate), your expertise in some area, etc.
5. Provide a link to your website or blog in your profile and your signature.
6. Important: Provide a Call-To-Action towards the end of your article.
7. Don’t provide more than 1 Call-To-Actions as this can confuse the reader.
8. Don’t provide a list of websites; limit it to 1 or maximum 2. Focus on branding and list building.
9. Don’t list your products.
10. Your resource box information or line count should be around 15% of your total article line count, that’s the norm.
Sweet tip
to finally put your Article Marketing on Steroids
1. You can use Article Spinners to spin (rephrase) your articles so that you can re-submit these same but rephrased content to these directories a few times which will give you more backlinks, more internet presence and of course more traffic.
2. Another one could be having an Article Submitter. This will submit your Article to many directories automatically. Again this would save you a lot of time.
If you have enjoyed reading the blog post, please leave your comments below. Thanks.
Enjoy your day!
Cheers!

I have a website that draws content by RSS feeds out of a couple of websites and I would like to add yours, a lot of folks don’t mind because I link back and everything but I like to get authorization first. Anyway let me know if you could, thank you.

Hi Abizer, thanks for sharing some excellent tips and advice for article marketers. I’m pretty enthusiastic about article marketing since I like to write but writing articles that are specifically written to solve a problem, create interest and generate leads is a bit of an art mixed with a bit of science that leaves me putting it off until I can take it up in earnest which may be any day or week now. Take care, Steve D.

Article marketing works but it does need a steady flow of articles. You can not just stick an article out there and hope traffic will come flooding in. If you do produce well written work on a constant basis, then the rewards will follow.
Your above advice is completely correct, and would have saved me a fair bit of time and energy if I had read it when I first started out.

Some great tips and techniques for the time old technique of article markleting. Fact is this technique works! Otherwise it wouldn’t still be around – whilst you may not see great success the key is taking MASSIVE action and thats why your point on spinning is a great one – what article spinners do you use?? I use Mass Article Creator as well as some of the free services. Would love to hear your thoughts and recommendations…

Yeah, it a good method but requires a lot of patience
I have slowed down with this approach and need to focus again on this.
I have bought the Magic Article Spinner and Magic Article Submitter but have not got around using it. However buying this software was a compromise based on price. If you don’t mind spending a bit more then I would suggest The Best Spinner …

Good advice for sure but I would be careful not to over-do article spinners. It can make articles appear to be written by people whose first language is not English. I do not mean any disrespect by that only that a well written article can be rendered almost worthless by careless spinning.

Hi Abizer,
Good post about article marketing.
I have written a few articles and it does give you backlinks.
I also use “Submit Your Article” which is good.
General advice seems to be to submit your article first to Ezine Articles, then elsewhere using a submitter.
Ezine Articles are tough so hence the advice.
The resource box is also so important and most people advise that you leave your reader hanging at the end of the article then lead into the resource box. ;o)

This is an excellent post on Article Marketing, more specifically structuring a well written article!
I do not write near as many articles as I should. Your tips will be beneficial for me when I do sit down to write some.
Do you really recommend article spinners. I have heard some bad stories about article spinners where once the article is spun that it does not make any sense.
Best of luck!

Hi Rick
From the article marketing structuring was the thing strikes me the most. Since I also started writing articles just recently this was the thing that helped me out the article into perspective. I’m glad it is of some help to you.
Its a mix actually .. article spinner should be used cautiously. One way you can use it is to spit out junk stuff just for backlink – which I would not prefer personally. But the other way is to give you own or PLR articles some twist, retaining the value of then article and then submit it either to ONLY bookmarking sites or if its unique on the article directories as well. In fact article spinners are more to help you get you write the articles better if used properly and with some effort.
I will be using Magic Article Rewriter / Submitter, will let you know how it works and if its an efficient way of doing articles.
Thanks for stopping by. Glad to meet you.
Wish you all the best for the 100 blog challenge.

Hi Abizer,
These are great tips for article marketing.
Yes I agree that every article has to have a Call-To-Action in the end of the article or/and the resource box. You need to answer reader’s question “What’s in for me?”. Many people just enter their name which is false. Nobody cares about you (or me)!
Don’t get me wrong you HAVE to brand yourself but you also have to give a reason for the reader to click on the link.
Also article marketing is used to gain backlinks to a website. If you do the proper keyword research and write good articles then there is no easier way of getting free backlinks to your website and for ever!
I am writing articles or rewriting PLR articles by using TheBestSpinner software, regularly and then I use a service to share the articles on different article directories or even blogs!
(By the way I have a website where I give away quality PLR articles in many niches at http://www.FreeQualityArticles.com )
Of course not all articles will get you the desired traffic or income. Many newbies quit after writing just a few articles. Article marketing is a long-term and with time you will see the results you want.
Just my 2 cents.
Take care,
Andreas

Appreciate you stopping by and posting a valuable comment.
You’ve made a very good point. A call to action should be there, but we need to ensure that the REASON for call to action should be mentioned – and that is what’s in it for the reader and why should the reader take that action .. absolutely valid point.
I am amazed with the comments that have come in as part of this 100 comment challenge … so many points that I can still add to the article writing tips and so much more value … brilliant.
I will try the best spinner in the future .. but would surely visit your website and bookmark it.
